Hi BB Friends
Looking forward to seeing everyone next week for Term 4. 😊
I’m just popping in here to invite you to grab a cuppa when you get a quiet moment today 🤞🏻and take a few minutes to read our three core Busy Bees graphics. These guide everything we do here at Busy Bees.
Returning families, you probably know them by heart by now (we reshare them every term). If you’re new, welcome. These ideas sit at the foundation of every class.
Whenever a child walks into a new situation, their brain (and yours too!) checks in with three big questions:
🛡️ Am I safe?
❤️ Am I loved?
📚 What can I learn?
Zoomed right out, parenting can sound simple. But in the everyday moments of transitions, big feelings and new environments it can feel anything but. These three questions give us a practical lens to understand what’s really going on for our kiddos (and ourselves) and highlights ways we can support them through everyday ups and downs.
Music plays a big role here. Repetition, patterns and rhythm naturally support the nervous system and create a sense of predictability and safety. Every activity in our lesson plans is designed with this in mind, helping answer those three questions and keeping brains regulated, connected and ready to learn in music class (and beyond).
My role as your educator is to create a space where you can come and be supported on all the easy days and all the hard days too! Busy Bees is designed to feel like a shared parenting support space and not just a music class so please lean into the class, the community and all the resources we have to offer.
Enjoy your cuppa! ☕️
See you next week 🐝
Miss Tania
